      Christmas Lunch Menu 2010

 

Starters:

 

 Rabbit and bacon terrine with toast and baby pickles

 Smoked salmon with horseradish mousse and pumpernickel bread

 Soup of the day (V)

 Tuscan black cabbage and butter bean

Bruschetta with truffle oil

 

Mains:

 

• Fillet of salmon with orange butter sauce

• Turkey, ham and mushroom pie

• Chestnut, spinach and mushroom torte (V)

• Slow-cooked lamb with pumpkin and pomegranate

(All served with seasonal accompaniments)

 

Desserts:

 

• Lemon posset with grilled figs

• Xmas fruit compote (V)

• Selection of local cheeses

• Ginger pudding with toffee sauce

 

To finish:

 

• Coffee (or tea) and mints

 

£13.95 per head including VAT and crackers
