Training at the Whole-Baked Cafe

The Whole-Baked Cafe gives people with learning difficulties the chance to improve their employment prospects by taking part in a structured programme which combines hands-on experience in a busy cafe with work in small groups towards a range of qualifications.

The Cafe is supported by the Bristol and South Gloucestershire Social Services, and works in partnership with City of Bristol College to deliver the course "Working in Catering: A Practical Introduction".

Participants in the programme attend for two days each week and can achieve the Foundation Food Hygiene Certificate, the ASDAN "Workright" Certificate, and OCR Entry level qualifications in Numeracy and Literacy. We believe that everyone can succeed, given the right support and opportunities.
